Dearest the Unifier of all mankind,
Tout de suite I am standing before You,
Asking for the new hope on this proclamation day of Indonesian Independence.
Sixty-nine years ago You granted us independence from subjection.

By that time, we, the Indonesian, were called to freedom.
At this moment, we are supposed to be gathered in one nation
And set free from the power of darkness.
Howbeit, is it true that we have got independence top to bottom already?
How about corruption, religious radicalism, environmental damage and poverty?
I have all along been reflecting upon those issues.
In nothing flat, I just ask you for helping our government
In their effort to make this nation just, prosperous
And free of corruption, oppression and slavery.
